Going Back to Reading: Fave Quotes from “Yes, please!”

To get back on the horse, so to spreak, I started with Amy Poehler’s “Yes, please!”. Why this book? Well, one, I love Amy Poehler, and two, I plan to follow this reading with works from Tina Fey and Mindy Kaling. I loved “Yes, please!” Amy is real, funny, and sharp. I can hear her voice the whole time I was reading, which added to the appeal of the whole experience. It’s a sort of biography but it’s really a mix of short stories. Here are three of my favorite quotes from the book.

I would tell every girl and every SNL enthusiast to get the book and read it. It’s not a feminist book, not at all. But it does empower women.
